My name is Yike Jiang. I am from China and currently I live in Poland.

I was born in 1981. In the 1990s, what I could experience was interpreted BASIC with line numbers. The experience made a detour for my programming dream. As I studied traditional Chinese medicine in my youth, my programming dream wasn't realized until I was 40s.

In the beginning of 2022, when I decided to learn Python, I didn't follow my method in the past, which was to read a book about programming at first. I bought a lot of technical books, but I had never finished reading them. So I took a new method, which is to practice first, and get knowledge from practice. My Python program started from a simple window. It was created using PySide6 in Python. I added widgets one by one, and then wrote functions for them. The interactive operations greatly increased my interest and rapidly enhanced my level. After two months I wrote a desktop app with a complex UI.

The year 2022 was not quiet. The two-month lockdown in Shanghai interrupted my quiet life for being a developer. With great uncertainty for the future, I left China and came to Poland.

In Poland, I once hoped my knowledge about traditional Chinese medicine may be helpful, and this was why I created a company named "TCM i Kultura". I obviously lack marketing ability, so though I tried my best to write articles for introducing the knowledge about traditional Chinese medicine, my efforts got no return.

Then I decided to realize my ideas for being a professional programmer. With the correct way I found for learning programming skills, my technical ability was greatly increased during continuously studying and practicing for varous kinds of technical routes. Based on consideration about costs, performance and sustainability. I estabilished my development principles and determined my main technical development routes.

My program development is dedicated to C++ language, preferably using C++ Standard Library and common libraries of Linux. The development minimizes third-party dependency, as well as minimizes the using of AI. The way to be an experienced programmer with sufficient technical accumulation should involve thinking independently and reinventing the wheel. During the development of libJSONHandle and kudzu, I enjoy the pleasure of controlling the whole development process, as I eventually have my own solutions from a database to a web server.

I have loved to read about history and culture since my childhood. If I could be back to the 1990s, I would like to try my best to study mathematics. There are a lot of things that a person could not understand until the age of 40s. Fortunately it is not too late. But I have never regretted about my love of ancient Chinese books. "Zuo's Explanation of the Spring-Autumn Classic" gave great influence on my values in my youth. I always get strength from the spirit of kindness, honesty and faithfulness shown from the stories of ancient people.
